I contacted A&B Flooring and with in hours ED returned my call. We meet that evening at my home and I knew right away I could work with this individual. We looked over my existing floors and came up with a plan for the adjoining room to match. once the agreement was made the worker showed up on the day of the install on time and were very friendly and knowledgeable of there job, All my questions were answered to my satisfaction and the floors were installed beautifully and with great care of my home. When the staining looked to be a different color due to the age of the existing floors I was given several options and the time to make a decision. the finished product is something I will be proud of for years to come. It was a pleasure meeting and working with Ed and his crew and they get a glowing recommendation from me.

Wonderful to work with! A&B did a beautiful job installing new wood floors and refinishing existing wood. Their expertise and experience really shown through in the end as the new wood and the old wood blended seamlessly. I highly recommend their services.
We had several estimates for our hardwood refinishing , and A & B had the lowest estimate by far. I even had one estimator say that he couldn’t get the floors as dark as we wanted. Keith was able to refinish our hardwood floors to match a darker vinyl plank. He also fixed a lot of problems with our hardwood, including divets and uneven strain. It looks fantastic.
We had the carpet removed from our stairs with retrofitted oak hardwood treads installed. Ed was great to work and communicate with and Steve did an incredible job with the install. We also had a herringbone pattern for the landing done and it came out flawless. I’m an incredibly OCD person when it comes to projects and we couldn’t have been happier. Would definitely recommend.
We just had Luxury Vinyl planks installed in our entire downstairs, and also had our stairs redone in real hardwood and we are so impressed with the quality and professionalism of this Job. Gary (crew leader) went above and beyond the call of duty as far as I am concerned, he did not cut any corners, in fact he did more than was expected, IE – Added screws to the second landing to take out the squeaks, added longer screws the the stairs hand rails to make them Extra strong. This guy is a true professional and cares about his work, which is rare if you ask me. Also, Ed the salesman was a pleasure to work with, easy going, no pressure. These guys know how to do it. I highly recommend A&B Flooring. Next we are going to have the replace all the carpets in our bedrooms.
We are a custom homebuilding contractor on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and have subcontracted the floors of a number of homes we have built to A&B Floors. They are extremely professional – always on time for appointments, sending reminders that your appointment with them is coming up. The bid for the work comes in on time and the pricing has been in line with our expectations. The workers show up on time every time and the work is done quickly, but with attention to detail and quality finish work. Floor installation takes several trips – usually one to prep the area where the floor will be installed, another to deliver the flooring wood so it can acclimate to the environment where it will be installed to avoid shrinking or expansion after installation, the installation and sanding, and then a couple finish coats of poly. They never let us down and we keep on using them. Once you accept their bid, they will require a sizable downpayment (because once they buy your wood, it cannot be returned) and possibly another progress payment and then the final upon completion of the work. Just letting you know, because not everyone reading this necessarily knows what to expect.
